Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site operators.
2. Cookies We Use
Cargly uses only strictly necessary (essential) cookies that are required for the platform to function. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Authentication session — keeps you signed in | 30 days | Essential |
| authjs.csrf-token | CSRF protection — prevents cross-site request forgery | Session | Essential |
| authjs.callback-url | Redirect URL after authentication | Session | Essential |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Stores your language preference | 1 year | Essential |
| cargly-cookie-consent | Records your cookie consent choice | Persistent (localStorage) | Essential |
3. Third-Party Resources
The Platform uses Mapbox for map functionality. When maps are displayed, Mapbox may load resources (map tiles, fonts, icons) from its servers. Mapbox's data processing is governed by their privacy policy. No Mapbox cookies are set for advertising or cross-site tracking purposes.
Stripe may set cookies when you interact with payment forms. These are strictly necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention. Stripe's cookie usage is governed by their privacy policy.
4. Legal Basis
Essential cookies are set under the legitimate interest exemption of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended by 2009/136/EC) and the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG §25(2)), as they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested.
No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under EU law. However, we inform you of their use through our cookie banner for transparency.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly (e.g., you may not be able to stay signed in).
